Game overview

Welcome to Thimbleweed Park.

Population: 80 nutcases.

A haunted hotel, an abandoned circus, a burnt-out pillow factory, a dead body pixelating under the bridge, toilets that run on vacuum tubes... you’ve never visited a place like this before.

Five people with nothing in common have been drawn to this rundown, forgotten town. They don’t know it yet, but they are all deeply connected. And they’re being watched.

...Who is Agent Ray really working for and will she get what they want?
...What does Junior Agent Reyes know about a 20 year old factory fire that he’s not saying?
...Will the ghost, Franklin, get to speak to his daughter again?
...Will Ransome the *Beeping* Clown ever become a decent human being?
...Will aspiring game developer Delores abandon her dreams and stick by her family?
...And most importantly: how come no one cares about that dead body?

By the end of a long, strange night in Thimbleweed Park, all of this will be answered -- and you’ll question everything you thought you knew.

In a town like Thimbleweed Park, a dead body is the least of your problems.

Growing up in the 80's, I played countless adventure games on my pc (originally an Apple II E... I am so old), but haven't touched them since. That is, until I came across this game. It had the feel of many of the games from that time and I couldn't resist.
Thimbleweed Park's starts out with a dead body in a pool of water and asks you, the player (by way of multiple characters - primarily 2), to uncover the reasons behind it being there. Your journey takes you across multiple locations, from City Hall at the cities heart, to a traveling carnival on the outskirts lf town. Each stop offering a glimpse of the quirky characters, and possible suspects, that make up this odd little town.
The gameplay mechanics are the same as any other point and click adventure but thats all you need to enjoy this title. Pay close attention at each stop, lest you miss a vital clue. If you get stumped, fear not, clues are available to help you along.
The game ends with an interesting and satisfying conclusion, yet I found myself a bit dissappointed. It's not a short game, but I would have enjoyed much longer experience. I've yet to find another game that brought back the memories like Thimblewees Park did, but I'll keep looking. Until then, I can always replay this great title.
