Growing up in the 80's, I played countless adventure games on my pc (originally an Apple II E... I am so old), but haven't touched them since. That is, until I came across this game. It had the feel of many of the games from that time and I couldn't resist. Thimbleweed Park's starts out with a dead body in a pool of water and asks you, the player (by way of multiple characters - primarily 2), to uncover the reasons behind it being there. Your journey takes you across multiple locations, from City Hall at the cities heart, to a traveling carnival on the outskirts lf town. Each stop offering a glimpse of the quirky characters, and possible suspects, that make up this odd little town. The gameplay mechanics are the same as any other point and click adventure but thats all you need to enjoy this title. Pay close attention at each stop, lest you miss a vital clue. If you get stumped, fear not, clues are available to help you along. The game ends with an interesting and satisfying conclusion, yet I found myself a bit dissappointed. It's not a short game, but I would have enjoyed much longer experience. I've yet to find another game that brought back the memories like Thimblewees Park did, but I'll keep looking. Until then, I can always replay this great title.
