The world-building in Final Gear is set in the year 2110, where a meteor strike has turned the earth into a wasteland and humanity is on the brink of extinction. The remaining humans are rebuilding efforts in order to bring back a scientific and technological civilization. One of the mightier groups is Kegha, who has established a capital city and rolled out a form of mobile, weaponized battle armor, known as Final Gear. This technology has spread throughout the land, giving rise to three major forces: Kegha, Arita, and Hexel as they all vie for supremacy.
