Verge: Lost Chapter

Fran Bow is an eerie action-packed game that depicts Fran’s life being troubled by a mental illness and an unjust fate. The game begins with Fran grappling with the horrific and perplexing loss of her parents which leaves them dismembered in their house. Fran escorts herself into the forest along with Mr. Midnight who happens to be the only pal of Fran, a black cat that Fran had earlier obtained. Horrified by the loss of her parents, Fran falls into a state of disbelief and shock and on regaining consciousness, discovers herself in Oswald Asylum, an oppressive institution meant for children, with Mr. Midnight nowhere to be seen. Fran has a dream of her beloved cat, which motivates her to escape the asylum and find Mr. Midnight while returning back to Aunt Grace, her only living relative. Fran Bow is a game that is immersed in a surreal and gothic world with dark and twisted secrets lurking around every corner. The game features a unique and distinctive 2D art style and animation. Players of the game must self-administer medication to unravel the hidden world, which in turn, will help them unravel puzzles and find objects. The game features an extensive range of puzzles, with varying levels of difficulty that have been specifically designed in accordance with the game’s plot. Fran Bow’s soundtrack has been composed exclusively for the game, which enriches the surreal and haunting atmosphere it provides.
