Slydris garnered the top spot on GameTrailers.com's list of iOS games in 2012, and it's no surprise why. Modojo.com reviewed the game and called it the best puzzle game that they've ever played on mobile. EuroGamer.net agreed and said that it belonged in the ranks of the greatest puzzle games. Gamezebo.com praised the game's touch controls that never lose their accuracy and how it brings a unique twist to line-forming gameplay. Slydris is a puzzle game with simple gameplay but a surprisingly deep gameplay mechanic. Players slide and drop blocks to create complete lines. To fill the bomb meter faster, they can create combos of falling blocks and clearing lines. Creating many blocks of a single color will result in a color burster. Players will also encounter special blocks, such as Shatter, Upcoming, Locked, and Magnet, which will add gameplay variety and challenge. Three modes can be played in Slydris: Infinite Mode, Zen Mode, and Survival Mode. Players can take as long as they want in Infinite Mode, where every move made drops a new set of blocks. Clearing 25 lines will advance players to the next level. Zen Mode has gameplay similar to Infinite Mode but with more dynamic difficulty, no scores or achievements, and the game never ends. In Survival Mode, players have ten seconds to make as many moves as possible before a barrage of blocks drops, and the cycle repeats. Slydris is an expertly crafted puzzle game that can be enjoyed by all age groups. Players can choose between three music tracks and select either light or dark backgrounds to customize their gameplay experience. Slydris also supports iPad Retina Display, Game Center Achievements and Leaderboards, and iCloud saving.
