Players must search for notes to survive. They contain passwords, hints for secret passages and locations of items and keys. I really enjoyed to planning routes, setting traps, using distracting items, like crossbow, and move furniture to block Granny or hide safely. On the other hand, the rare checkpoints annoyed me because they forced me to redo levels.

The graphics and music may leave a negative impression. But the developers cleverly use this aesthetic to build a tense atmosphere. Sound effects not only warn players of Granny’s presence but also guide them to hidden notes and items. For full immersion I recommended to play with headphones.
