The Countess herself has invited you to assist her as an expert, and despite the warnings of the locals and the bumpy carriage ride through the misty woods, you're determined to find out the truth behind the rumors that the Countess has not been seen for decades and that ghosts haunt the castle's stone halls.

Upon reaching the castle, the old walls will have you trapped until you prove yourself worthy by passing the tests of the Countess and freeing her and yourself from the curse that has befallen the castle. To do so, you must exhibit your expertise by exploring the castle, examining the artifacts in the Countess's chambers from your predecessors, finding clues about the von Greifenstein family in the library, and uncovering mysterious relics in the castle courtyard.

Solve tricky puzzles in the family crypt and look beyond the castle to decipher witchcraft recipes, open folios, medallions and caskets, or decipher the strange hourglass, as the ghosts help you along the way. Immerse yourself in the mysterious atmosphere of Greifenstein Castle with its hand-drawn graphics, an atmospheric soundtrack, and narrator audio set to music, which will transport you directly back to 1837.
