Although similar thematically to the "SAMURAI SHODOWN" series, it distinguishes itself with innovative features, such as the option to choose between a "Power" or "Speed" style when picking a character. The "Power" system prioritizes high damage, whereas the "Speed" system emphasizes complex combos and speed. In addition, a unique "Hajiki" ability allows players to deflect attacks effectively. Super Desperation Moves can be combined with canceling super attacks to produce strategic options, and with inclusion of Super Secret Skills, this game boasts a collection of flashy attacks.
