Jessica's life was ordinary until she uncovered an astounding secret – her seemingly calm parents, a dentist and a teacher, were actually vampire hunters. Urged to continue the family tradition, she embarks on a journey to confirm once and for all that vampires are nothing but a myth and her parents require a psychiatrist.
As she attends a university where a possible vampire operates, she befriends peculiar people, such as otakus, and is chased by cheerleaders and other popular groups. Before she knows it, she becomes enamored with a boy who appears to be a vampire – he's pale, gorgeous, only emerges at night, and appears to wear an excessive amount of eyeliner.
