In the shadows of Tokyo, ominous “Ghouls” creep around, hunting humans and feasting on their flesh. In the midst of all this, Ken Kaneki, a regular at the coffee shop “Anteiku”, coincidentally meets a woman his age with similar interests. As they grow closer, disaster strikes – a freak accident forces Ken Kaneki to undergo an organ transplant…from a “ghoul”.
Wrought with doubt and uncertainty, Ken Kaneki becomes embroiled in a relentless, downward spiral, helpless against the magnetic, malevolent pull of the ghoul world.
