Your Pixel Dungeon

Your Pixel Dungeon is an open-source game mod, designed for the android platform, which enhances the popular roguelike game Pixel Dungeon. This mod offers an additional tutorial and map editing feature to the original game. The maps created by the editor can be found in a publicly accessible folder called YourPD, from which you can import or export maps easily. One can also share custom-made maps by copying the files from the folder onto their computer or device. YourPD is a collaborative effort of Eric Britsman, Özgür Tanriverdi, and Anton Grönlund, and their source code is available on GitHub. The game comes with an autosave feature, so manual saving is not required. However, the save file is deleted when your character dies. In the map editor, you can scroll up and down the views. You can create up to ten dungeons with unlimited depths. Long pressing on a file in the first page of the editor can bring up a file delete dialog. The tabs on the second page of the editor are scrollable, and it may be necessary to scroll to reach a specific depth. Deleting the first floor of a map when there are only two floors left and floor 1 is selected can cause a glitch and require you to go out of the tabs view and reselect the map you were editing. You will automatically get a "finish" screen when you reach the last staircase in your custom dungeon. To start the player at a particular level with specific items, make the first level an enemy-free level. Then add necessary items and experience potions to depth 1 and start the "real start" from depth 2. The game includes standard features such as mobs, rooms, items, and more. The wiki has detailed information about all these features. The editor has some limitations, such as the inability to modify rooms or quests. Also, Sign contents and placement aren't supported, and the player character's starting level and equipment can't be set. Overall, YourPD offers an enriched Pixel Dungeon gaming experience by adding customization options to a beloved favorite.
