Yet Another Pixel Dungeon

Yet Another Pixel Dungeon, otherwise known as YetAnotherPD, is a roguelike RPG featuring pixel graphics and controls that are simple to master. Like others in its genre, the game levels are generated randomly and offer a high level of difficulty. One of its outstanding features is the amount of knowledge one needs to acquire to progress satisfactorily. Although it is somewhat challenging, the game started as a project designed to better an existing Android game called Pixel Dungeon. However, it has since developed into something far bigger, boasting some noticeable differences from its precursor and other mods. The majority of its changes are oriented toward improving game mechanics with an emphasis on balance and variety.



YetAnotherPD has some distinctive features:



- Four character classes that have been modified to have unique strengths and weaknesses.

- Four difficulty variations tailored to meet the player's skill level.

- Additional equipment options such as dual wielding, shields, and firearms.

- More powerful enchantments added to weapons and armor.

- The environment now affects stealth and evasion, forcing the player to rethink their strategy.

- Bosses have been reworked to make the fights more advantageous.

- The game now has new items, enemies, traps, and gameplay interactions.

- Loading tips and more detailed information about items and character stats for greater accuracy.

- The user interface is improved and offers extended journal and auto-aim features.

- Healing, stealth, wand usage, and item durability systems have been updated.

- Some old enemies now have new abilities and have been relocated within the dungeon floors.

- Shop assortments are now more varied and appear every fifth floor.

- The game has a total of 31 floors split into six chapters.

- Future updates are in the works, improving gameplay even further.



YetAnotherPD is a free game with no hidden fees, limited access, or advertisements. The game utilizes degradation and limits items to upgrades of three, but these are balanced accordingly. These features are in-built to the game and will not be removed.



It is important to note that subclasses, unique class armors, Lloyd's Beacon, and Dew Vial are no longer in the game. Unique class armors and Dew Vial were reworked, and subclasses and Lloyd's Beacon will be brought back later. This game is under the open-source software of GPLv3 License.
