Developed by experts of Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, and The Witcher franchises, you can expect a deep, story-driven activity filled with all the top elements of such games. The Shadow Sun, by Ossian Studios, is a real-time combat game that comes with a richly detailed world, complex characters, and a gripping story of an ancient city besieged by a mysterious plague. The city of Shar is where the adventure unfolds, with over 70 unique areas to explore. This, combined with 200+ items, hidden secrets, and ancient treasures to uncover makes the game a great one to get your teeth into. A journal and detailed codex will keep tabs on quests and note characters and places you encounter. Incredibly immersive music and soundscapes will make you feel a part of the fantasy world, with the alien shadow creeping across the game's bright sun obvious from the outset. You can customize personalize your avatar by choosing from 30 different spells, skills, and attacks. Players create their own male or female character and pick their character's attributes and appearance. Completing quests and developing your avatar's skills will open new NPC dialogue options, and there's the possibility of allying with one of four different companions along the way. Your companion will come with its own special abilities and personality, and your dialogue choices will determine how much they approve of you. And if you want a faithful companion to fight alongside you, why not choose a loyal canine companion? The Shadow Sun has around ten hours of adventure, which is respectable for a mobile game. In-app purchases are optional. Three optional packs are available, but the premium content and quests inside are optional and not essential to the game.
