The Gallery - Interactive Film

In "The Gallery," an art curator is taken hostage by a portraitist threatening to set off a bomb unless certain demands are met. This live-action (FMV) game/interactive film takes place across two distinct time periods: 1981, with a female protagonist, and 2021, with a male one. Both eras are characterized by social and political unrest in Britain, and while similarities and differences abound between the two competing narratives, players must make choices to escape capture and comprehend their captor's reasoning. The plot thickens as players learn that their decisions directly impact not only their character's fate but the lives of others. Players have access to over 150 decision paths and 18 endings, so the choices they make affect the outcome of the story. The game also features a relationship-tracking mechanism that affects the larger narrative, a sub-story success/failure tracker that directly affects the plot, and two game modes to choose from. Players can opt for "Timed Choices" for a more immersive and intense experience or "Paused Choices" for group play or audience participation during a live stream. This game delivers top-tier acting talent, with a cast that represents the likes of Anna Popplewell ("The Chronicles of Narnia") and George Blagden ("Vikings" & "Versailles") as the two protagonists. Last but not least, it's worth noting that "The Gallery" was written and directed by the world-renowned creative, Paul Raschid, who has established himself as one of the leading figures in the live-action (FMV) video game genre following two earlier releases in 2020: "The Complex" and "Five Dates.
