Nukutawhiti starts on the island of Hawaikii where the player must navigate through each section of the island.
They will meet people that will offer learnings and they will collect important information on preparing for the journey to Aoteroa. The resource features learning puzzles with the final puzzle being about navigation using constellations while guiding their waka.
