The gameplay has players fight against alien forces that are constructing land bases on Earth. By being part of M.A.C.E., players help to safeguard the planet from the invaders and save it from destruction. Some features of MACE Defense include an impressive array of eight upgradable towers, two power-ups for each tower, special attacks, path-placed items, unique enemies, unlockable levels, freeplay mode with endless waves, and global specials such as Big Bomb, Air support, Atom Bomb, and Money upgrade. Plus, the game also offers Power Up for each Tower, Damage, Firerate, and Range, Path placed items such as Mines, Electro Field, and Block Wall, and Support Towers such as Power Enhancement and Range Enhancement. The game's programming was done by Frank Menzel, while Thomas Claus handled Graphics & Levels, and the music was composed by Sascha Theel.
