Checkers is an exciting game that requires two players to participate. To start the game, twelve unique playing pieces are provided for each player. The pieces can only move diagonally in a forward direction to an empty square on the board. However, you can seize your opponent's playing piece by jumping over it into an adjacent and empty square beyond it. Captured pieces are promptly removed from the board.
Interestingly, a checkers move can involve several jumps and the Checker can even change directions. However, it's crucial to note that a player cannot jump over his own Checkers. Also, if a Checker reaches the last row of the opponent's side, it becomes a King, and thus, can move in any direction on the board.
