Each level gives a target and a finite amount of turns so you're under pressure to get the max points as quickly as possible. The levels also get tougher as you go higher up the candy chain.

Thankfully you can get some fantastic bonuses if you manage to connect 4,5,6 or even more candy fruits together which could result in a whole line of candy fruits getting smashed for more points, numerous columns and in special circumstances the whole board!
