To promote better understanding of the 2018 Hong Kong banknotes series, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is organizing a series of public education activities from 25 July to 30 September 2018.
These include roving exhibitions at different locations and a mobile application with the following games:
1. Collect the 5 Thematic Icons
The HKMA and the three note-issuing banks launched a new banknotes series in 2018 with a common design theme for each of the 5 denominations. Icons representing the 5 themes are appearing in various locations in Hong Kong. Collect one icon from each of the 5 banknote design themes to enter a lucky draw for a chance to win attractive prizes! There are more than 30 sets of icons scattered around places representative of the design themes and near the roving exhibition venues. Take this opportunity to re-explore Hong Kong while collecting the icons!
2. The 12 Hidden Pics
Hidden in the leaflets and the panels of the roving exhibitions are 12 pictures that will trigger different interactive games. Use the camera of your phone to find out these colourful pictures! The games will be triggered in an instance!
3. The 6 Security Features
Within limited time, find out 6 pieces of puzzles representing the 6 security features of the new series. Drag the correct pieces into the designated areas for a complete 2018 Series Hong Kong banknotes!
