Each jump changes the ninja’s state to one of the four elements (Water, Fire, Earth or Wind). The exception being the “Normal” jump, which causes a “non-elemental” state.
The ninja’s elemental state when they jump onto an elementaling, determines how it will react. This reaction determines if you gain or lose points, and if you get hurt.
