Measures/increases reading speed of child Dyslexia, Learning Difficulties
This application measures the reading speed and tries to increase it especially for students who have just started to learn to read English/Turkish and/or learning difficulties. With 9 different games the application tries to increase the reading speed. It is recommended to play the games with an observer. (This application is limited to 500 words an has ad, an ad-free and a 1700 words paid version is also available.)
Games:
1- Press: Within a minute, words are displayed in sequence. When the student reads the word successfully, the observer presses the "CONTINUE" button. In this way, how many words are read in a minute is found. It can be played in 3 difficulty levels.
2- Different Last: Two words with only last letters are different (bug-but, soap-soak) are shown; the observer reads the first and the student reads the second. If the student reads the word successfully, the observer presses the "CONTINUE" button. In this way, how many words are read in a minute is found. It can be played in 3 difficulty levels.
3- Different First: Two words with only first letters are different (brain-drain, face-race) are shown; the observer reads the first and the student reads the second. If the student reads the word successfully, the observer presses the "CONTINUE" button. In this way, how many words are read in a minute is found. It can be played in 3 difficulty levels.
4- Appendix: This is only for Turkish. It can be possible to make new word adding appendixes to words. Application generates the new word from a word. Observer reads the first and the student the second. When the student reads the word successfully, the observer presses the "CONTINUE" button. In this way, how many words are read in a minute is found. It can be played in 3 difficulty levels.
5- D's B's: The most confused letters (such as d-b, m-n, 2-5, 6-9) are mixed on the screen and the student is expected to read; When the student reads all the letters successfully, the observer presses the "CONTINUE" button. In this way, it is determined how many readings are done in a minute. It can be played in 3 difficulty levels.
6- Memory: Random words are written to the screen; without showing screen to student, the observer reads the words and student is expected to repeat; When the student repeats all the words in the same order, the observer presses the "CONTINUE" key. In this way, how much recall is made in a minute is found. It can be played in 3 difficulty levels.
7- Syllable: This is meaningful for Turkish. 2,3 and 4 letter syllables are randomly brought to the screen. When the student reads the syllable successfully, the observer presses the "CONTINUE" button. In this way, how many words are read in a minute is found. It can be played in 3 difficulty levels.
8- Timely: Random words are displayed at 4 different speeds and the student try to read the word. It can be played in 4 difficulty levels.
In the setting screen, the reading speed of more than one student can be followed by entering the student name.
When the student reads faster than the previous one, or when clicking on the text showing the number of words read, a small firework display is shown.
