Four color theorem states that every 2-dimensional map can be filled with no more than four colors and no two adjacent regions are filled with the same color.
This application originates from the theorem and generates various maps for users to solve. Users have to solve each map by filling all regions under Four color theorem rules.
How to play this app?
1. Create map by entering any text in the seed textbox and choosing number of regions in a map.
2. Fill the map by choosing color or pattern and click on any region to fill it, choosing eraser to revert a fill. The rule is filling all the regions with no two adjacent regions having same color.
What is paint style?
About paint style, beside filling with plain colors, patterns are used together with colors when filling maps. It is designed for color blind people. Since each color is mapped with a pattern, colors can be distinguished by patterns in this application.
What could be next?
User interface enhancement and preferences settings are planned. New feature like history page is in backlog.
