O poveste din Belle Epoque

The story follows the lives of five characters shortly before Romania's entry into the First World War, with an emphasis on the educational aspect of the time. Adrian Vasilescu is the student of Mr. Mircea Pop. At the invitation of the latter, he teaches for a day at the Bucharest Central School. The coincidence causes him to meet one of the school's students and fall in love with her. At the same time, we are also monitoring the problems of the school's director, Elisabeta Apostol, but also the evolution of a young peasant.
