Fylgja

Fylgja is an adventure game developed by Mölndal City Museum. It is a fictional adventure in an ancient environment, where the places, houses, objects and people are based on archaeological material. The content has been developed in collaboration with several experts and museums in archeology.



The purpose of Fylgja is to bring the past to life and highlight the local ancient history, in a way that is exciting for children. Fylgja takes place at two archeological sites in Kållered in Mölndal municipality, just south of Gothenburg. In the game, you get to accompany the girl Tyra on a journey back in time, to the Bronze Age and Iron Age.



Fylgja is intended both as a complement to the ancient teaching and as an exciting game for children in their free time. At molndal.se/fylgja you can read more about the game and the archaeological material on which it is based.



Fylgja was first released in 2011 for PC and Mac and was reworked for iOS and Android 2020.
