Trials of Mana+

Trials of Mana” is now available on Apple Arcade for both long-standing fans of the Mana Series and new players! The game follows the Goddess of Mana who drew forth the Sword of Mana to defeat the eight Benevodons; monsters of destruction, and sealed them inside the eight Mana Stones, bringing the world back from the brink of destruction. Then, the Goddess transformed into a tree and slept for years, leaving the world weak and vulnerable to the forces of evil who wanted to control the world. With Mana diminishing from the world, players need to select three out of six main characters to start their journey to keep the world from slipping into darkness and to their respective destinies. The game features full 3D renders and detailed graphics that restore the original scenes from the game while incorporating the signature ring menus of the Mana Series and shorter shortcut commands. Players can switch between light or dark classes to upgrade their characters and alter their look, with a newly added Class 4 that includes over 300 different abilities to help make the characters more powerful. There are four adjustable difficulty settings: Beginner, Easy, Normal, and Hard, with the Beginner setting providing players with the luxury of starting their journey again without having to resume the game from scratch. The game's 60-song soundtrack is overseen by the original composer, Hiroki Kikuta, and can be switched between the new version or the SNES version. The game also offers a full voiceover in English and Japanese, so players can join their party members on their journey in style. Once players beat the game, they can unlock new storylines, and harder difficulties such as Expert and No Future. Additional features include a new type of item seed and the auto-save function. The game is smartphone-specific, with touch-operated menus, auto-target, auto-camera, and auto-battle features, cloud save compatibility, and the ability to obtain the starting gear “Rabite Adornment" and “Silktail Adornment," which increases the EXP gained in battles up to level 17 and the amount of lucre gained in battle up to level 17. The app download is about 6.7GB in total, and a large portion of data must be downloaded after defeating the first boss before starting the game. A Wi-Fi connection is highly recommended when downloading the app. The recommended devices for playing the game are iPhone 7 and above.
