The game offers players five cases to solve, each with multiple suspects and different outcomes. The story will adapt based on the player's choices and actions. As a player, you will investigate crime scenes, interrogate suspects, and gather all necessary information by any means necessary. You can choose to follow the law or make your own rules; however, your actions will have consequences that will impact people's attitudes towards you. There is a fictional city with four unique boroughs to explore, each with its own distinct flavor and individual themes such as class divide and the public's fear of emerging steam tech. The game is inspired by the works of Edgar Allan Poe and Charles Dickens, and players will get to meet over 50 professionally voiced characters throughout their adventure. The game has a single click interface with no inventory, allowing you to gather and review clues and documents in your casebook easily. The game boasts an original score by Mark Benis.
