I am directly involved in the interview process for new employees, including from India. Candidates for the role of automation should complete the test task - to write a simple framework for 2-3 tests of requirements (search in Google), fasten the report and comb the whole project so that it runs on any machine. After the review of the test task, we call up the candidate, go through the written tests, ask questions and decide whether to take it or not.
