Discouraged Workers: Teen Version

The indie kinetic novel, "Discouraged Workers TEEN," is the fifth installment of the Project DW series and offers a satirical take on Korean dramas. The game follows the life of Ga-yeon, a former hospital coordinator who lost her job after having an affair with a married doctor. She spirals into depression and becomes a recluse until her sister and first love come back into her life. The TEEN version of Discouraged Workers is presented in the form of a kinetic novel, where players mostly view the events through Ga-yeon's perspective. The archives section provides more context to the story and helps players understand the narrative better. There is no direct involvement necessary from the player, but there may be the occasional requirement to collect records or scenes. The game is set to auto-play, but this function can be toggled.

Discouraged Workers features a dense, Korean-based storyline with a somber theme. The game offers a short yet intense experience that mimics the directing style seen in soap operas. The hand-drawn sprites, CGs, and backgrounds resemble animation-style drawings that utilize retouched real pictures.
