STEINS;GATE, developed by 5pb. and Nitroplus, is an award-winning interactive visual novel that explores the concept of time travel in a science-fiction setting. Considered one of the finest Visual Novels ever created, the game follows a group of brilliant young students as they discover the power to alter the past through email using a modified microwave. However, their experiments soon spiral out of control when they get caught up in a conspiracy involving SERN, the organization behind the Large Hadron Collider, and John Titor, a man who claims to come from a dystopian future.

What's unique about STEINS;GATE is the "phone trigger" system that lets players receive phone calls and text messages within the game. The player decides whether to reply, and each response changes the course of the plot.
