synopsisOnce upon a time, there was a couple living in a certain village.
One day, while living in poverty, the couple had a child. Soon after, when the daughter was born, the wife named the child Rapunzel, remembering the lettuce she ate when she was pregnant. I want my daughter to grow up healthy, beautiful and fresh.
However, unlike her beautiful and handsome parents, Rapunzel was often teased for being ugly. Timid Rapunzel grew her hair long to cover her face, but she couldn't avoid being teased and started not coming out of the room.
As time passed, the couple began to get tired of Rapunzel, who did not come out of the room even though she was getting older.
"Other kids get married when they're your age, or at least work to earn money, but what are you doing in your room?"
"It's so scary outside, Mom."
Parents began to hate Rapunzel, who became a burden rather than a help to the poor family.
"I heard you've been living alone for a long time. Aren't you lonely? I'll give you this child. Give us your lettuce field instead. Whether you raise her as a daughter or as a maid, we won't care."
After listening to Rapunzel's parents, the witch decided to bring poor Rapunzel back.
However, Rapunzel is still very timid, and the wounds of being abandoned by her parents have not healed.
