Each player has a hand that they play cards from, and a deck that they use to draw cards into their hand. Drawing cards is done automatically when the player’s hand is empty.



You get rid of cards by playing them on the 3 by 3 field in the center. Select a card in your hand by tapping on it, then tap on one of the 9 field spaces to play the selected card on that space (Navigating the start menu uses the same interface). Tapping on a space without a card selected will put all cards on that space into your hand, which may be the only way to end your turn if you can’t play any of your cards.



You can only play a card on a space if that space is blank, if the top card on that space is face down (cards are only placed face down during setup), or if the card you are trying to play is a higher value than the top card (aces are low).



In addition, if the card you are attempting to play would complete a line of cards on the field of all the same suit, your card must be a higher value than both other cards in the line, and doing so moves all cards in the other two stacks in the line to the discard pile. If your card is not the highest of the three, it cannot be played in that spot.
