Historically, variants of this game are believed to have been played thousands of years ago in Mesopotamia and Egypt, then the Romans and then India.
It also spread to East Asia, but was largely replaced by Xiangqi (Chinese chess). It is very popular in the west now.Be sure to try the smooth graphics, real dice to play backgammon without interruption.
