INTRO

Learning Spanish is a challenge, but passing a high-school exam and having Spanish conversations is even a greater one, especially if you don't have much time to spare. We felt frustrated with the slow pace of the options we had, so we decided to create our own app that could make learning quicker and more effective. With every new idea that we had, we added it to the app. We didn't want the app to fuss over minor mistakes or require too much typing, so we made something enjoyable and practical. Our app has many features to make the learning process smoother and fun.


FEATURES


LEARN MODE - this mode presents the next ten words and provides Spanish audio and text. You translate them into English and vice versa. If there's an incorrect answer, the word enters the failed list and must be answered correctly twice before moving to the next level.

TOPIC MODE - Words are divided by topics such as "travel," "hobby" or "food."

PRACTICE MODE - practice random words from previous levels.

QUESTION/ANSWER STYLES - questions can be spoken, printed or both. The answer can be typed, spoken or thought. The app uses Google voice recognition, so an internet connection is required for voice recognition. Mixing spoken Spanish and printed English questions feels natural and gives the illusion of a Spanish conversation.

AUDIO MODE - This mode is perfect for hands-free learning with earphones; the app asks a question, pauses for you to answer and then gives the answer. It alternates between Spanish and English.

VERB CONJUGATION - Randomly conjugated verbs in all modes.

NUMBERS GAME - This mode is a fun way to learn Spanish numbers naturally and unconsciously. You race against a baddy and try to keep ahead by typing the numbers being spoken to you.

WORD LOOKUP - This mode allows you to look up any word in the app's dictionary and check the verb conjugation automatically.
