The Polyglots are part of the Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) program, funded by the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment and managed by Education Services Australia.
The Polyglots apps are a series of seven engaging play-based language learning apps that encourage preschool and kindergarten children to explore another language and culture. Prechools set the apps to one language from a choice of Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Modern Greek, Spanish, Turkish and Vietnamese. The Polyglots apps are aligned to the Early Years Learning Framework.
The Polyglots in the Playroom is an exciting place filled with characters, animation, play-based learning experiences and surprises. Children exploring The Polyglots in the Playroom are encouraged to interact with language through greetings, introductions, farewells, likes and dislikes.
