Traditionally we used to play this game on books and papers back in the 90s during our middle and high school.
The purpose of the game is to bring back those memories and create fast-paste competitive value among the players.
Basically you take turns to generate numbers from 1 to 3 randomly and built up soldiers to finish each other.
