Korvasiili

It weighs between 250-400 grams, slightly less than the common hedgehog. Long-eared hedgehog is also much faster. It has long fine legs and magnificent ears. Its dietary habits include insects, molluscs and occasionally even mushrooms. It uses sight, hearing and a great sense of smell to observe surroundings.



The long-eared hedgehogs reside in intermediate climates, and enjoy areas with mild rainfalls. They are nocturnal solitary animals, but will reproduce up to once a year, having a few babies at a time.
