The story is set in the free lands of Terenos, where the evil Primorva, who embodies the darker side of life such as hunger, lust, and pain, has been driven into the shadows by the powerful Dawnseekers. However, they have managed to escape their exile in the Umbral Plane and evolve far beyond mere legends. They have now developed loathsome tactics that can corrupt the free folk with unlimited power, plunging humanity into an epic nightmare from which they might never awaken.
