Resumen del juego

Get rid of all your cards by forming matched sets or sequences in Rummy. Score by adding up the value of remaining cards.

Rummy is one of the most popular card games in the United States, even if it has been replaced by Gin Rummy and Oklahoma Gin in some regions. Rummy is better suited for more than two players. What makes this game fascinating is its simplicity and many variations, making it enjoyable for everyone. CARD RANKINGS
Cards are ranked starting at K (high), Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, A. In some forms of Rummy, the Ace can be ranked either high or low. DEALING THE CARDS
The dealer gives one card face down, starting with the player to their left. When two people are playing, each person gets ten cards. When three or four people are playing, each gets seven cards. When five or six individuals play, each receives six cards. The rest of the cards are put face down on the table to form a stockpile. The top card is moved from the stockpile face up and placed next to the discarded pile. The top card on the discarded pile becomes the card on the discard pile. When two people play, the winner of each hand takes over the dealing of cards. When there are more than two players, the dealer passes to the next player to their left. OBJECTIVE OF THE GAME
Every player tries to form matched sets consisting of groups of three or four of a kind or sequences of three or more cards of the same suit. HOW TO PLAY
Starting on the left side of the dealer, players draw the top card from the stockpile or pick up the top card on the discarded pile and add it to their hand. Players can also lay face-up any meld (matched set) on the table. If the player doesn't want to lay down a meld, he discards a card face up. LAYING OFF
A player can add one or more cards from their hand to any matched set already shown on the table. GOING OUT
A player wins the game when they discard all their cards. If the player's remaining cards form matched sets, they can be laid down without discarding on their last turn, and the game instantly ends. If the last card from the stockpile is drawn and no player has gone out, the player next in turn may either pick up the top of the discarded pile or turn over the discarded pile to form a new stockpile without shuffling it and draw the top card. SCORING
Each player pays the winner the pip value of the remaining cards in his or her hand, irrespective of whether the cards form matched sets or not. Aces are counted as 1, and face cards are counted as 10 points each. Each other card is counted based on its value. A player goes "rummy" when they discard all of their cards at once without ever putting down or laying off any of their cards. In this scenario, all other players pay double – twice what they would owe otherwise.
