Build corner foundations and empty playing area to complete rounds in Four Seasons solitaire. Track your progress to beat your own record.
Four Seasons is a captivating take on the all-time favorite solitaire game that challenges players to progress through all cards of a deck in ascending order while placing them into the corners of a 3x3 grid. As the game begins, the top left corner is already occupied by the initial card, and players are required to match this card value with the other corners, using different suits. The cornerstone foundations can only be constructed from the bottom up, strictly following the suit. It's worth noting that "round the corner" building is allowed, allowing players to stack the Ace on top of the King.
The game introduces a novel twist in its gameplay, as the five playing spaces, or the cross, remains blank and can accommodate any card. Further, any card can be placed into an unoccupied playing space, and can be built down without following the suit. The playing area serves as a temporary card storage facility, and it follows the same "round the corner" building rule as the foundation corners.
One card is dealt at a time, subsequently being stacked on top of the discard pile. Players can move the topmost card in the discard pile to the playing area, thereby creating more opportunities to progress. Four Seasons requires a certain level of skill to maneuver, but it is not overwhelmingly challenging. Its difficulty mostly lies in testing the player's consistency, by tracking the number of successfully completed rounds.
With this innovative concept, Four Seasons provides solitaire aficionados with an engaging and refreshing alternative to the classic game.
