Epitome of Time Repetition

Chih-Cheng CHEN who assembled elite contemporary theatrical performers of National Taiwan University of Arts. The seamless theatrical vocabulary, including choreography, musical composition, scenic design, lighting, costumes, and use of new media technology, creates a trans-disciplinary total theater. The incorporation of the AR technology yields an aesthetic experience transcending the three dimensions of each artistic domain. Building on the cross-disciplinary characteristics of the forerunners Island Through Time and Epitome of Time, Epitome of Time Repetition spans a heterogeneous art space, and embraces both minimalist body language and expert training methods. Thanks to a novel performing style that is at once concise yet rich and a theatrical structure that forges an unattainable theatrical living fossil summoning up deep memories, this work can express humankind's imperceptible existence, being, feeling, and knowing within the long journey of time.
