Tap and slide a number tile to combine it with an adjacent tile.
If two tiles have different numbers, then they add up together. If two tiles have the same number, combining them will destroy them both.
You have to destroy all tiles, without getting stuck with any left over. If you are stuck and you have tiles left on the board that cannot be destroyed, start the level again or roll back using the "undo" button.
