Board Takeover is a turn-based game in which you play against a bot. Your goal, as a player, is to fill in the board completely by turning all cells black. The bot's role is to prevent you from reaching that goal by turning cells white.



The particularity of Board Takeover is the complexity that emerges from very simple moves, decisions made at the beginning of the game have a big impact throughout the game. In that aspect it is similar to the well-known Go board game, but in a much more accessible shape.



There are a total of 9 cells to be turned black and white alternately by the player and the bot. Those cells are initially colored in yellow. The order in which those cells are chosen is decisive for the outcome of the game.



Each time a cell changes color, that color propagates on neighboring cells. A couple walls are specifically placed on the board to stop color propagation. It may require you a little bit of reflexion and several trials to trick the bot and solve the puzzle.



As levels increase you encounter more and more difficult puzzles. There is no randomness involved in the bot's strategy, he always tries his best to make you lose. You will need patience and perseverance to beat him down.
