Immerse yourself in the post-apocalyptic world of NEO Scavenger, the survival RPG game now available on your mobile device! You are stranded in a wasteland with little recollection of who you are and what happened to civilization. The game is set in the near future of Michigan where cryptids and folklore seem to be roaming the place. But beware, something sinister is lurking beneath the surface! Every decision counts, from where to go, what supplies to search for, and how to deal with other survivors. Your survival instincts and quick wits can be the difference between life and death as the harsh autumn weather intensifies and threats surround you. NEO Scavenger offers various features that make gameplay unique and captivating. Take your time with each turn and play at your own pace with turn-based play. There are no XP or leveling-up in the game as progress comes from learning how to play better and utilizing your strengths. The map is semi-randomized, including the location of ruins, creatures, weather, and certain quest lines, giving you a different experience every time. You can either go through the game's full story, learn about your lost identity and pieces of information, or go sandbox mode where you can test your skills against other human's nature and the environment.

Choose abilities and flaws every time you play since different combos can unlock new abilities and quest lines. NEO Scavenger also has an extensive crafting system where you can substitute similar items. You can, for example, make a rifle scope from a pair of binoculars or a noise trap from a pill bottle and small rocks. Desperate combat is a thrilling aspect of the game, with many moves such as tackle, lure, kick while down, demand surrender, and threaten. You will experience realistic wounds and metabolism simulations, too. Creatures have multiple wound locations, and you must manage infections, bleeding, and pain. Everything is tracked, including hypothermia, fatigue, thirst, hunger, disease, intoxication, and shelter. Its complex inventory system with slots for carrying, wearing, containers, and more. Fit items in grid spaces, and manage encumbrance.

Navigate ruins, hills, forests, and plains in a hex-based map, and line-of-sight, elevation, and daylight affects your progress. You can even follow the tracks other creatures leave, or hide your own. There's also a hunting system where you can trap and kill small and large prey. However, beware of the dynamic weather system, where temperature, rainfall, and day/night cycle are based on real-world autumn weather data. In the full version, you will have access to a save system to save your progress, but if you fail to survive, all saved games will be deleted as the game is balanced around permadeath.
