Game overview
Compete on a reality TV show to escape a divided country and reunite with family, but beware of the dark reality in Ministry of Broadcast.
The land is separated by a tall barrier called "The Wall." It has divided a nation into two, and a man is now separated from his family because of it. To reunite with his loved ones, the protagonist who has red hair must compete and emerge as the champion in "The Wall Show," a reality TV program devised by the Regime.
The Wall materialized overnight, but the goal of the protagonist is to beat the odds and find a way to freedom to reunite with his family. He thought that "The Wall Show" would provide him a chance to make this a reality. However, as the game progresses, the protagonist realizes the true schemes of the Regime and the show itself. What he thought would be his chance of freedom might just be another layer of deceit and injustice.
The game, Ministry of Broadcast, rekindles the thrilling spirit common in the classic movie-style action-adventures of the Prince of Persia (1989) and Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus. The player must display nimble acrobatics to make their way through each Arena and avoid falling from dangerous heights. Hazards aplenty pepper the game in the form of leg-breaking drops, flaming trash barrels, placed spikes to walk upon, rusty hanging beams, and tragically, the fates of the people met along the way.
The game offers a cinematic experience with different animation sequences within the environment, introducing story bits. Instead of a screen cluttered with indicators, such as HP bars and mini-maps, players must use their skills to survive and interact with the environment itself as hints and clues are incorporated into the game's art subtly.
The game will test the players' wit and at times, make them resort to ruthless tactics to advance through the Arenas. Players will have to use the protagonist's movement to accomplish tasks like moving platforms, flipping levers, and others, even if it means sacrificing a character or two, such as hopping over a spiky pit.
Ministry of Broadcast features Grade A sarcasm, mischief, and abundant mischievous humor, melded perfectly with the dark and solemn overtones of this dystopian world.
The game is playable on iPhone 6S, 6S Plus, 7, 7 Plus, 8, 8 Plus, X, XS, XR, SE, 11, 11 Pro; iPad Air 2, 3, Pro; iPad Mini 4, 5; iPod Touch 7th Gen, provided that it has more than 2GB of RAM.
