European War 2 is a unique strategy game set in the backdrop of the World War II era, popularly known as Super Risk. With this game, you have the opportunity to compete for different territories, including lands, cities, and oceans. Gather resources, invest in economic and military developments and conquer your enemies to destroy their capitals. The game boasts of 28 European countries, over 200 land and sea areas for you to explore and have all the fun you want. Choose your side from either the Axis powers or the Allies and enjoy diverse game modes.
Your success in the game depends on the efficient operation and distribution of the three essential troops - soldiers, tanks, and artillery. Soldier troops give high yields but weak attacks, while the tank troops pack high attacks and can continue action as long as the enemies are completely destroyed. Artillery troops, on the other hand, attack soldier and tank troops but are vulnerable when it comes to striking back. The game's outstanding AI requires you to judge and manage your troops efficiently to beat your opponents.
Every country has different military attributes. German tanks carry the most power at a high price, while Soviet Union soldiers are cheaper and British navy is the best. Throughout the game, you will use military cards to assist in the battle. The cards include soldier cards, tank cards, artillery cards, battleship cards, fortress cards, construction cards, airstrike cards, general cards, marshal cards, and special cards.
The game comes in two modes: conquest mode and battle mode. Conquest mode lets you choose one of the 12 countries from the Axis Powers or Allies to dominate Europe. The rest of the countries will either be your allies or enemies or remain neutral. The battle mode comprises the mainline for just four countries: Germany, Britain, France, and Soviet Union, with 16 battles to win.
Each country has four chapters with specific battles needing to be won. The battles vary, depending on the chosen country. For instance, the German chapters include the Blitzkrieg, Maginot Line, Operation Barbarossa, and Top of Europe, while British chapters include England Channel, North Africa, Battle of Berlin, and Battle of Eastern Europe. The French chapters comprise Defend The Motherland, Battle of Apennine, Battle of Balkan, and Battle of Eastern Europe while Soviet Union chapters have Defend the Moscow, Counter Attack, Duel, and Top of Europe.
The game's music and sound effects are exhilarating, providing players with a deeply engaging experience. The game also includes 30 military troops, 15 military cards, five levels, and more than 200 territories and 28 belligerent states. Automatic saving features ensure you can resume your game where you left off.
