A New Dawn transports players a century after the launch of the New Dawn Protocol, into the tranquil city of New Aartis where the dark memories of the past have faded into obscurity. Under the vigilant supervision of the United Systems Initiative, society thrives as elite Mercenaries maintain order across the sector, ensuring humanity’s continued prosperity. But peace is fleeting—an enigmatic energy source has been uncovered, triggering a terrifying new wave of undead resurgence, setting the stage for a peril unlike anything humanity has previously encountered.

In Mercs: The CREDible Faction, players take command of expert operatives geared up to tackle any challenge, especially when hefty rewards, or "creds," are up for grabs. Offering robust RPG elements, each Mercenary class—Assault, Heavy, and Medic—can be personalized via expansive skill trees, where players unlock specialized abilities and tailor their combat style. With six foundational skills and six class-exclusive talents to develop, alongside three potent Activated Abilities capable of turning the course of battle, strategic customization is key. Additionally, choosing one of two distinctive Specialty Classes allows players to cement unique traits and access entirely new skill sets and abilities, enhancing gameplay depth.

The reanimated threats now decease more formidable and relentless than ever before, relentlessly attacking in waves that grow in intensity. Unlock Strongboxes to discover a vast collection of fresh weapons and armor, and create personalized loadouts featuring over 60 primary and secondary firearms, various armor sets, grenades, and deployable turrets. A dynamic crafting system empowers players to enhance and modify their gear, while surplus weapons can be sold or dismantled for vital resources. When desperate, a mid-mission Supply Drop might deliver exclusive Power Weapons that can decisively repel the undead hordes.

Mercs operate as guns for hire, confronting the undead plague spreading across the galaxy through a wide range of missions that offer rich rewards. Whether teaming up with friends in four-player co-op or braving the dangerous cosmos solo, players engage in gripping Story Missions to assist the USI in unraveling the mystery behind this sinister undead revival. Special Operations provide varied objectives for those seeking extra challenge, while Bounty Boards deliver additional missions with enticing incentives. Players should also monitor Vendors closely, increasing their reputation to unlock access to exclusive weaponry and gear unobtainable by ordinary means.
