With Milus Word Journey® you can promote the language development of your offspring! Children aged 3 and over learn new words in a playful way with our lovingly developed game app for tablets and smartphones. Together with the alien Milu, your child goes on a journey of discovery - first in space and then on earth. Milu doesn't speak our language yet, so your child can help the alien learn new words in 5 different settings (market, home, city, zoo, jobs). The app is scientifically based and was developed by academic speech therapists. Ideal for children in kindergarten or preschool.



In a motivating way, your child will get to know many types of fruit and vegetables at the lively greengrocer's market stall, discover well-known and unusual animals in the zoo and accompany various characters in their jobs. Not only are the words practiced, but also which category they belong to (e.g. banana is a fruit). Your child will also learn about different properties and functions of words (e.g. what tastes sweet?). In addition to Milu, more than 20 hand-drawn characters complement the app: from the firefighter to the craftsman!

The first semantic category is free and is intended to give you an insight into the game. If you like the content, you can unlock the entire game for a one-time price of €14.99 after downloading the app. Thereafter there are no follow-up costs.



+++ 5 game modes +++

The game modes train receptive and active vocabulary (understanding and speaking) and are practiced with increasing difficulty. The game modes are repeated in the different locations.



1. Listen to and sort words: Which words does your child already know?

2. Search game: Your child should find the word they heard from different pictures.

3. Recognize properties of the words and answer semantic questions: e.g. “Do you know which of these tastes sweet?”

4. Semantic sorting of the words: e.g. “Is the apple a fruit or a vegetable?”

5. Photo challenge: Your child can photograph and name things at home. The app then asks various questions about it (e.g. “What can you do with it?”).





ABOUT LIMEDIX

We are a small Munich-based software company that was founded by two speech therapists and a developer.
