Maze Devil

In the first window, you can select the grid size and then start the game. Depending on the grid-size you select and your device's CPU speed, it might take a few seconds to load the maze, player and opponent, as the computations of the grid positions are not trivial.

The second window shows a game in progress with a medium-sized grid. The player represented by the white ring moves from one end of the maze to the other using the arrow keys, while the Maze Devil represented by the solid yellow circle chases the player. If the devil is proving too fast and clever, it's speed can be set to a relaxed level by means of a corresponding button.

In the third window showing a small-sized, easy grid, the player has won, meaning that they have reached their destination before the Maze Devil was able to reach them. The grid squares with the white dots in the centre show the path which the Maze Devil was taking to reach the player. The green squares show the maze solution, i.e. the correct path successfully determined by the player.

OK, you can't win all the time, as in the fourth window which shows a large-sized, difficult grid in which the player was hunted down by the Maze Devil before being able to figure out the correct path. The yellow Maze Devil is lying over the player, which is why we can't see the white ring. Shown once again in green is the path which the player would have had to take through the labyrinth.
