Freestyle Painting

1) Learning objectives: To cultivate children’s imagination and artistic creation ability through free scribbling and painting.

2) Theoretical guidance: The development of children’s artistic ability will go through 4 stages, namely the scribbling stage, symbolizing stage, conceptual painting and realistic painting. In the process from scribbling at 1 to complete colorful paintings at 6 or 7, children should be provided with opportunities and tools to scribble freely.

3) Creative learning:“Freestyle Painting” is designed on the basis of children’s painting characteristics. Children can freely choose paintbrush tools, drawing paper, lines and colors to improve their imagination and artistic creation ability in the drawing process.

4) Suggestions for parents: When taking children to the sand pit or beach, parents can guide children to draw some common objects or paintings with fingers. What’s more, children can also prepare some safe washable paint at home for children to paint freely.
