Embark on a journey through time and discover the climate, plants, and animals of Europe during the Ice Age, accompanied by a trustworthy furry friend. Prepare to embark on an exhilarating adventure where you will face formidable challenges. In "The Monster," demonstrate your hunting prowess and overcome the dangers of the Ice Age, while in "Save the Day" and "Youth Trial," transport yourself back in time to experience life as a Stone Age human and unravel secrets of art and music discovered during this period. Venture into the world of hunter-gatherers and scavenge for food and raw materials. Use your newly acquired resources to fashion essential tools such as the hand axe, spear, or antler mallet. Being mindful of the risks, hunt for wild horses, bison and other creatures to provide sustenance for your tribe. Danger lurks around the corner as hunting mammoths, cave lions and hyenas presents heightened risk. "Ice Age Worlds" is a brainchild of a joint project between the Neanderthal Museum, Prehistoric Museum Blaubeuren, and the Vogelherd site in collaboration with primary school students between the ages of 8 to 12. The Ice Age Europe Network of Heritage Sites sparked the idea for the project, with its development and implementation by Playing History in Berlin. Thanks to NEUSTART KULTUR, a funding program from the Kulturstiftung der Lander and support from KULTUR.GEMEINSCHAFTEN, the project became a reality.
